Rolls-Royce Spectre For Sale
Used Rolls-Royce Spectre for sale
The Rolls-Royce Spectre, the first fully electric Rolls-Royce ever produced, replaced the Wraith Coupe and Dawn convertible in 2023. The Spectre is a real sign of what we can expect from the brand in the future and, thus, is an extremely important car for Rolls-Royce.
What the Spectre has to offer
EVs are known for their instant power, bizarre silence and large amounts of weight. Three words that don’t seem out of place when it comes to the Rolls Royce badge are those exact three: power, silence and weight. As such, the first Rolls Royce EV seems like an ever-better car for being an EV than it may otherwise have been. Therefore, the Spectre offers everything a Rolls Royce should offer- grace, speed, comfort and refinement by the bucketload, except with a difference. This Rolls Royce is entirely electric. It has a 102kWh battery, which powers twin front and rear motors, generating a combined 735bhp, a truly staggering amount of power. This is good because the Spectre is truly a large coupe, and despite several design elements making the Spectre surprisingly aerodynamic, the Spectre’s gravitas is in no way diminished. Despite the weight, no doubt the 735bhp on offer will be more than enough to whisk you silently, comfortably and surprisingly quickly to where you need to be. So, there you have it. Potentially, the most Rolls-Royce-like Rolls-Royce on sale today is electric.
Interior and tech
Rolls-Royce interiors are usually special places to be, and the glimpse of Rolls-Royce’s future that the Spectre offers as the brand’s first fully electric car presumably extends to its interior. However, it seems Rolls Royce has been very careful with the interior of the Spectre-deliberately not furnishing it with all kinds of futuristic designs and material choices. What is a big step, however, is that the Spectre is the first Rolls-Royce to entrust displaying important information to a screen instead of physical clockfaces. Things that are the same include the starter Dutton itself, which still curiously reads ‘ENGINE’. You can also find the same exceptional build quality that we’ve come to expect, as well as high-quality materials covering every inch of the cabin.
What are the running costs?
The Spectre’s claimed range is 329 miles, and on Rolls Royce’s recommended 95kW charger, the Spectre will recuperate 70% (10-80%), of its full charge in 34 minutes. You’ll also be pleased to note that Rolls-Royce produces its batteries in an eco-friendly way. Despite that, the Spectre isn’t cheap to run, with repairs often being expensive. Charging your Spectre at home will be cheaper than at a public charger, however, and works out cheaper than refuelling a thirsty V12 engine. This isn’t a car you buy because it is an EV, or because it has slightly cheaper running costs, though. This is a car you buy because it may just be the finest motor car ever made.
