Alfa Romeo Giulia For Sale
Used Alfa Romeo Giulia for sale
The Alfa Romeo Giulia we know and love today was first made available to the world in early 2016 and continues to be in production today. The nameplate has a rich history within Alfa Romeo, and thankfully, it does not disappoint. Stated by many to be the first compelling rival to the German saloons from Alfa Romeo in over a decade, the Giulia is the car that helped Alfa turn the corner. Described as having character, it’s the car’s driving dynamics that make the Giulia stand apart from the crowd. There are also special editions of the Giulia, namely the GTA and GTAm, which are more track-focused, road-going specials.
What the Giulia has to offer
The most tempting Giulia sits at the top of the range: the Quadrifoglio. Under the bonnet sits a twin-turbocharged 2.9-litre V6- closely related to Ferrari’s V8, which churns out over 500bhp. The Giulia doesn’t rely on sheer power; however, with extensive use of carbon fibre and aluminium, the car does its best to lose some weight. The Giulia has classically handsome Alfa styling, a factor a lot of German marques seem to have lost. Pair this with the car’s touted driving dynamics and practicality (you can get four people in the car, in comfort!), and the Giulia presents a compelling argument.
Interior and tech
The interior heavily features carbon fibre and leather. An impressive slew of technology expected of a modern car keeps you busy, with options to alter the powertrain, steering weight, and much more. Some people have found the central infotainment screen to be slightly sluggish, however. The first generation’s front doors are also slightly too far forward of the aperture they cover, meaning entry and exit is not always straightforward.
What are the running costs?
The Giulia Quadrifoglio doesn’t fair too poorly, with a combined MPG of 28mpg- very similar to its German rivals, and the non-Quadrifoglio versions can reach almost 40mpg. Due to the fact no Giulia is available as a hybrid, and depending on the age of its competitors, cars such as the BMW M5 can be much kinder in the environment. However, their tax brackets are remarkably similar.
