Ferrari SF90 For Sale

Used Ferrari SF90 for sale

Ferrari SF90 production began in 2019 as a mid-engine PHEV. With LaFerrari hybrid technology and pace included for a third of the price, the SF90 represents a seriously potent offering from Ferrari. At the time, it easily filled the gap Ferrari had at the top of its range. This marks a return to a mid-engined Ferrari range-topper, something not seen for almost 25 years with the F512M.

What the SF90 has to offer

Potency and advanced technology. In the supercar arms race, the Ferrari SF90 offers hypercar performance with a supercar price tag. Bizzare though it may be to say that a list price of more than £300,000 is good value, but that might just be true in this case. The powerful marriage between the SF90’s re-engineered 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 and three electric motors powered by an 8kWh lithium-ion battery brings the combined power output to 987bhp, offering almost unusable performance levels. This blistering pace is what gives the SF90 near hypercar credentials, which several driver aids allow the occasional full use of. The SF90 continues the automotive industry’s unending quest to make each new car more powerful and quicker than the last. Fun fact: above 135mph, the front axle decouples, and the car powers the rear wheels only.

Interior and tech

The dashboard is dominated by a 16” curved screen that sits behind the wheel and forms the centrepiece of Ferrari’s ‘Human-Machine Interface’, controlled by a touchpad on the right of the steering wheel. The SF90’s flat-bottomed steering wheel has not escaped Ferrari’s love of buttons and has not one but two Manettino switches- one for dynamic modes and another catering to powertrain modes, among other essential functions. The cabin is suitably special, extensively using expensive materials like carbon fibre, leather and Alcantara. The combined powertrain houses lots of tech, with an ‘eDrive’ mode that drives only the front wheels and allows the car to run completely silent on electric power only.

What are the running costs?

The Ferrari SF90 Stradale delivers 18mpg on petrol power only, stretching to an impressive 51mpg equivalent when utilizing both its V8 and electric motors. Regarding CO2 emissions, the SF90 manages 156 g/km, which could be worse. The SF90’s rival, the Lamborghini Revuelto, can only manage 23MPG and has CO2 emissions of 276 g/km, neither of which come close to the SF90’s scores. Running costs, of course, won’t be cheap, despite being somewhat improved by the hybrid system. The SF90 is made for one purpose- to be blisteringly fast.
