Ferrari Portofino For Sale
Used Ferrari Portofino for sale
The Ferrari Portofino is a 2+2 hardtop convertible that debuted in 2018 and ceased production in 2023. It was Maranello’s drop-top GT, rivaling cars such as the Bentley Continental and Porsche 911 Turbo.
What the Portofino has to offer
The Portofino offers 292 litres of space in the boot, thanks to the car being front-engined to further its appeal as a grand tourer. Replacing the California T, much of the superficial work was carried over, with the same base engine and gearbox, suspension layout and similar chassis. The Portofino is stiffer than its predecessor- an important factor to note for a convertible. Fun fact- it’s also the first Ferrari GT to have electric steering. The Portofino borrows from elsewhere in the Ferrari range, with some electrics borrowed from the 488. Under the bonnet lies a 3.9-litre twin turbo V8 that powers the rear wheels with 592bhp, meaning the car is probably faster than you might expect a grand tourer to be. With the top down, your ears have good access to the noise the Sonorous engine likes to produce.
Interior and tech
The Ferrari Portofino’s interior is nicely made and suits the car’s purpose as a grand tourer. It benefits from a 10.25 central infotainment screen that makes navigation easier than in most Ferraris that have only the two screens on either side of the RPM counter, which the Portofino gets as well. There’s plenty of standard kit, and you can even get an optional touchscreen for the passenger if you so desired. Elsewhere, the cabin remains typical of Ferrari, which by no means is a bad thing. The wide, flat-bottomed steering wheel houses important functions like indicators, headlights, and the location of the Manettino switch.
What are the running costs?
The Portofino is more economical than its predecessor, managing a 24-26mpg combined and CO2 emissions of 245g/km, though unless you’re extremely careful with the application of your right foot, this is likely to drop. The Portofino just beats some of its competition, such as the Aston Martin DBS Volante, which only achieves 21mpg combined and is even worse for CO2 emissions, churning out 285 g/km. By and large, there are no issues specific to the Portofino, but keeping up with service schedules will be key in maintaining the condition of the Portofino.
